• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING INTERSECTIONS AT
WHICH VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO STOP AND
DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO ERECT NECES-
SARY STOP SIGNS THEREAT (BACKBAY DRIVE AT SAN
JOAQUIN HILLS ROAD; CAMELBACK ST. AT BISON
AVE. AND THE INTERSECTION OF NEWPORT HILLS DR.
EAST AT PORT SUTTON)
WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides, among other things, that whenever any
ordinance or resolution of this City designates and describes any
street or portion thereof as a through street or any intersection
at which vehicles are required to stop at one or more entrances
thereto, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect and maintain stop
signs on each and every street intersecting such through street
or portion thereof so designated; and
WHEREAS, the City Traffic Engineer has recommended to
the City Council certain intersections which should be designated
as intersections where vehicles are required to stop at one or
more entrances thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, that the following described locations
are hereby designated as intersections at -which vehicles are
required to stop%
Backbay Drive at San Joaquin Hills Road;
Camelback Street at Bison Avenue;
• Newport Hills Drive, east at Port Sutton
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
be and hereby is directed to erect and maintain stop signs at the
above locations.
