RESOLUTION NO. 98 -58
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
REQUIRING VEHICLES TRAVELING ON MARGUERITE AVENUE TO STOP AT
SECOND AVENUE AND AT FOURTH AVENUE
WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
provides that whenever any ordinance or resolution of this City designates and
describes any intersection at which vehicles are required to stop at one or more
entrances thereto, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect and maintain STOP signs at
those entrances of each intersection where a stop is required; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there is a need for intersection
control on Marguerite Avenue at Second Avenue and at Fourth Avenue in the City of
Newport Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, that the following described locations are hereby designated as
locations at which vehicles are required to stop:
On Marguerite Avenue at Second Avenue
On Marguerite Avenue at Fourth Avenue
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer be and
hereby is directed to erect and maintain all necessary signs at the above locations.

resolution, being Resolution No. 98 -58, was duly and regularly introduced before and adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 10th
day of August, 1998, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
Ayes: Thomson, Debay, O'Neil, Hedges, Glover, Noyes, Mayor Edwards

Abstain: None
