HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-2 - Planning Commission Amendment 654RESOLUTION NO. 88-2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 654 TO THE NORTH FORD - SAN DIEGO CREEK PLANNED COMMUNITY INCREASING THE ALLOWABLE ON -SITE DEVELOPMENT AT 2800 JAMBOREE ROAD (PARCEL 1 OF PARCEL MAP 41 -27, RESUBDIVISION NO. 328) BY 2,000 SQUARE FEET; FROM 46,952 SQUARE FEET TO 48,952 SQUARE FEET. (PLANNING COMMISSION AMENDMENT NO. 654) WHEREAS, Section 20.51.045 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides that amendments to a Planned Community Development Plan must be considered at a public hearing and approved by a Resolution of the City Council, setting forth full particulars of the amendment; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a duly noticed public hearing on November 19, 1987, at which time it considered a certain amend- ment, Amendment No. 654, to the Planned Community Development Standards for the North Ford -San Diego Creek Planned Community so as to permit the construction of an additional 2,000 sq.ft. of on -site development at 2800 Jamboree Road for the purpose of expanding the two existing employee training areas; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 1168 recommending to the City Council that Amendment No. 654 be adopted; and WHEREAS, an Initial Study and Negative Declaration have been prepared in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and that their contents have been considered in the decisions on this project; and WHEREAS, based upon the information contained in the environmental document, the proposed project will not have a significant environmental impact; and WHEREAS, the request to add 2,000 sq.ft. to the total permitted building area is consistent with the Newport Beach General Plan. • WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt said amendment to the Planned Community Development Standards for the North Ford - San Diego Creek Planned Community, as approved by the Planning Commission on November 19, 1987. - 1 - NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby approves Planning, Commission Amendment No. 654 to the North Ford -San Diego Creek Planned Community, increasing the allowable on -site development in "Light Industry - Office Area 1" at 2800 Jamboree Road (Parcel 1 of Parcel Map 41 -27, Resubdivision No. 328) by 2,000 square feet of net floor area, from 46,952 square feet to 48,952 square feet, for the purpose of expanding the two existing employee training areas.
