A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNC I L OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH REQUIRING VEHICLES TRAVELLING
ON ALTA VISTA DRIVE TO STOP AT BISON AVENUE
WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach Muni-
cipal Code provides, among other things, that whenever any ordi-
nance or resolution of this City designates and describes any
street or portion thereof as a through street, or any inter-
section at which vehicles are required to stop at one or more
entrances thereto, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect and
maintain stop signs on each and every street intersecting such
through street or portion thereof so designated; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Affairs Committee has determined
that, there is a need for additional intersection control at Alta
Vista Drive at Bison Avenue, in the City of Newport Beach, that
traffic travelling on Alta Vista Drive should be required to stop
at that location, and stop signs should be posted.'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, that the following described location
is hereby designated as a location at which vehicles are required
to stop:
Alta Vista Drive at Bison Avenue
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
be and hereby is directed to erect and maintain all necessary
signs at the above location.
