Motion: Lloyd Ikerd moved to approve the minutes with corrections. Ray Halowski seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously 2. Discussion of draft letter to Mayor and City Council regarding the General Plan 2006 Update — A motion to approve the letter with revisions passed unanimously. 3. Public Comments — Chairperson Trapp reported that, at the June meeting of the Economic Development Committee, presentations were made by the Balboa Theater Foundation and the Newport Beach Film Festival. Laura Dietz reported that the General Plan Advisory Committee met on July 10, and received a report on revised General Plan recommendations and trip reductions. GPAC members also received certificates of appreciation for their service. Chairperson Trapp reported that she was appointed to the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission, and woulc resign from EQAC after this meeting. She also reported that the Mayor intends to appoint Ken Drellishak as EQAC Chairperson. The Committee thanked Ms. Trapp for her service to EQAC. 4. Future Agenda Items — August 21 — Comments on DEIR for Newport Harbor Marina project 5.
