Sharon Wood Guests: Chairperson Ken Drellishak called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. 1. Minutes of October 15, 2007 Ray Halowski moved to approve the minutes of October 15, 2007, with two corrections: motion to approve minutes of September 17, 2007 was seconded by Bruce Asper; Barry Allen was excused. Michael Smith seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously 2. Review of Subcommittee Report on Draft EIR for Hoag Memorial Hospital Master Plan and General Plan Amendment, and Approval of Comments Chair Drellishak thanked the members who made comments, and he reminded the Committee of guidelines for reviewing DEIRs. Arlene Greer moved that the report be approved as amended; Kristine Adams seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously 3. Report from Energy Subcommittee Susan Knox reported that education is the subcommittee's primary objective, and presented some ideas for providing information on green building in the Building Department. 4. Economic Development Committee (EDC) Representative's Report Chair Drellishak reported that EDC received a presentation from the CoStar Group, which the City has hired to provide information on commercial property availability. EDC will receive a presentation on the North Newport Center project at its November meeting. 6. Coastal /Bay Water Quality Committee Representative's Report No report. 7. Report from Staff on Current Projects No report. 8. Public Comments None 9. Future Agenda Items Speakers from Santa Monica green program, LEEDS, Environmental Nature Center 10.
