Meeting Action Minutes
NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION COMMITTEE
Location: Council Chambers
Thursday, June 16, 2011, 4:00 p.m.
1. Welcome and Introduction
Mayor Henn convened the meeting at 4:00 pm. The following persons were in
attendance:

• Dana Smith, Assistant City Manager
• Steve Badum, Public Works Director
• Leonie Mulvihill, Assistant City Attorney

• Monika Goodwin, Administrative Assistant
2. Approval of Minutes for April 6, 2011
Council Member Selich moved to approve the minutes of April 6, 2011, and Council
Member Hill seconded, and the minutes were approved unanimously.
3. Approval of Minutes for May 12, 2011
Mayor Henn noted one recommendation for change from Bob Hawkins for the minutes
of May 12, 2011. On agenda item 2 clarifications will be added regarding statements
made by Council Member Hill and a potential conflict of interest. The corrected minutes
will return at the next meeting.
4. Prioritizing of Neighborhood Revitalization Project areas
Council Member Hill made a motion to approve staff's recommendations for prioritizing
the six neighborhood revitalization project areas and to present to City Council on June
28, 2011; Council Member Selich seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Priority 1 — Beginning in Fiscal Year 2011/12:
1. Via Lido Marina Village /City Hall site
2. Balboa Village
3. West Newport Beach — Balboa Boulevard, West Coast Highway
4. Corona del Mar entry at Mac Arthur Boulevard
5. Santa Ana Heights - Bristol Street

Priority 2 — Beginning in Fiscal Year 2012/13
1. Mariner's Mile
5. Future Agenda Item: Appointment of Citizen Advisory Panel for Lido Marina
Village /City Hall site
The deadline to submit applications for the Citizen Advisory Panels was extended to
Tuesday, June 21, 2011. The Ad Hoc Committee will announce the appointments to the
various Citizen Advisory Panels shortly thereafter.
6. Roundtable Discussion
No action taken.
Set Next Meeting
The next meeting was scheduled for July 14, 2011, at 4:00 p.m.
8. Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
