The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach met in regular session 7.30 P.M.Momday,April 3rd,in the city hall. President Parkinson called the meeting to order and the roll was called showing there present trustees;' ll].K.Parkinson,S.R.Jumper,H.A. Robinson,C.H.Way and G.P.Wilson.Absent none. The minutes of March 27th 1916 were read and approved. ' Reports of the heads of the various departments,for the month of March were read and were accepted and filed on motion of trustee H-.A.Robinson,seconded by trustee G.P.Wilson and carried. Various communications were read and referred to proper order of business. New Business:The request of B.F.Porter,administrator for the estate of Thomas F'Porter that plumbing license issued to Thomas F.Porter be transferred to A.L.Heard was granted and transfer ordered on motion of trustee H.A.Robinson,seconded by trustee G.P.Wilson and carried. City Kbglneer Funk presented a copy of instructions for use in preparing applications to the Secretary of war for permission to construct wharves,etc and to dredge in navigable waters of the United States.Same was placed on file for future use. Demands #712 to ',#774 inclusive,amounting to $2143.82 all approved by the finance committoe,were presented and were allowed and warrants ordered drawn on motion of trustee S.R.Jumper,seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson,and Carried. The patent license agreement presented by Warren Brothers Company ' covering the process of paving proposed to be used on the streets of East - Newport was filed. On motion of trustee S.R.Jumper,seconded by trustee G.P.Wilson and carried the city Engineer was instructed to prepare resolution of intention preparing for the paving of certain streets in East - Newport, not now improved,with asphalt- conerete;said paving to be three inches thick on all streets named in said resolution except on Bay Avenue on which it shall be four inches thick. Moved by trustee G.P.Wilson,seconded by trustee C.H.Way and carried, that adjournment be taken to 7.30 P.M.Monday April 17th,1916. Adjourned. ��������, •',/ � - e
