The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in adj
session 7:30 p -m date and place above shown.
President Jumper called the meeting to order and the roll was cal:
showing there were present trustees: S. R. Jumper; Glenn Helms,
G. P. ; °ilson; H. A. Robinson. Absent trustee J. C. 1.4cCain.

The minutes of the meeting of June 5, 1916 and of the special
called session of June 12, 1916 were read and approved.
Trustee Geo. P. C:ilson stated that he had nothing to report on
the alley viork as yet.
Communications were read and referred to proper order of business
UNFIT ?ISHED BUSINESS: Moved by Trustee G. P. Wilson and seconded by Tr
Trustee J. C. McCain and carried that ordinance number 124 be placed
on final passage. Roll was called showing ayes trustees, S. R. Jumper,
Glenn Helms, G. P. Wilson, H. A. Robinson, J•. C. McCain, noels
none. President Jumper declared ordinance number 124 passed.
Letter from Mr. 0. M. Brov✓n asking an extension of time for th'e
moving of his building at lot 9 block 12 of the Balboa tract was laid
over for one week for further investigation.
NEW BUSINESS: Moved by Trustee H. A. Robinson,_ seconded by trustee
J. C. McCain and carried that the resignation of city engineer I.1 B.
Funk be accepted upon the filing by him of an itemized statement
of work shoving what should be charged to the City and to the property
owners. - .
Moved by trustee J.C.McCain seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and
carried that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a Resoluti
of Intention in the matter of the proposed Jetties.
Moved by trustee H.A.Robinson seconded by trustee, G.P.71ilson and
carried that the City Electrician be instructed to purchase any
necessary street light brackets.
Moved by trustee, H.A.Robinson seconded by trustee, J.C.McCain and
carried that the Fire Committee be authorized to purchase 500 -ft of
22 and 400 -ft of 12 -inch fire hose.
Moved by trustee, H.A.Robinson seconded by trustee, Glenn Helms and
carried that the board accept the proposition"df the Santa Ana Reg-
ister giving a section of advertising in their paper in the amount
of $37.50 and that Mr. B.Norton and Mr. R.M.Durkee write the articl

and carried that adjournement be taken to 7:30 P.M. Monday June 19th,
1916, Adjourned.
