Asso. signed by Miss Kate McCann, Secretary, expressing the commendation and commending Police & appreciation of the Association on the excellent work of the Street and Street Depts. filed. Police Departments was filed on motion of Councilman hobertson, seconded by Councilman Greeley and carried. Appl'n Perkins Theatre The application of the Perkins Theatre Corp., signed by Corp. discussed from ' Alarik V. Soderberg for a theatre at Lot 1, Block G, Tract 323 Corona Del the floor. Mar, at Coast Highway and Heliotrope, was discussed from the floor by Mr. Glen E. Fuller, representing the theatre interests, Mr. Ralph Wilmot, contractor for the proposed building, and Mr. Soderberg. The Planning Commission recommended that adequate and accessible off - street parking be provided by the theatre. Mayor Drake stated that the Council filed. is making a study of the matter with a view to revising the Ordinance. O'Brien & Bell, being the lowest bidders, were awarded the contract for the improvement of 31st Street from Lafayette Avenue to 28th Street on motion of Councilman Robertson, seconded by Councilman Greeley, and the Llayor and the City Clerk were authorized to sign the contract, by the following vote to -wit: O'Brien & Bell awarded contract for improve- ment 31st St. from Lafayette to 28th st. The Planning Commissions Resolution No. 353 in which the dis- approved the application of R. H. Files for a 50% front yard setback variance was tabled on motion of Councilman Robertson, seconded by Councilman Blue and carried. Appl'n for setback variance of R. H. File: tabled. The petition filed by fifteen property owners in the immediate Request of property vicinity of 12th Street, in which they requested that 12th Street between owners to clean up the Bay and Bay Avenue be cleaned, was referred to the City Administrator 12th St. referred to on motion of Councilman Blue, seconded by Councilman Greeley and carried.
