AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING
SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE NO.
63 OF SAID CITY.
The Board of Trustees of the City
of Newport Beach do ordain as fol-
lows:
Section 1. Section 6 of Ordinance
No. 63 of the City of Newport Beach
is hereby amended so as to read as
follows:
"Section 6. No person or persons,
firm, partnership, voluntary associa-
tion or corporation, either as princi-
pal or as the agent of another, shall
engage in the business of electric wir.
ing, constructing or assuming control
of the installation of any wires or oth-
er electrical' appliances in any build-
ing in the City of Newport Beach,
without paying the license provided
for by the Ordinance of the City of
Newport Beach for said business, and,
in addition to the payment of said li-
cense, shall execute with two sure-
ties, to be approved by the Board of
Trustees of the City of Newport
Beach, a bond in the sum of Five Hun -'
dred Dollars ($500.00), conditioned
that the holder of such license will,l
in the doing and installation of any$
electrical wiring in any building of
the city of Newport Beach, at alll
times conform to this ordinance, and.
will not do or install any electrical l
wiring contrary to the provisions l
thereof, and that all said work shall
be done to the satisfaction of the City
Electrician."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and
after its final passage, and shall be
printed and published once in the
Newport News, a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation, printed, published and
circulated in the City of Newport
Beach.
The above and foregoing Ordinance
No. 152 was passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Board of Trus -I
tees of the City of Newport Beach
held on the 2nd day of June, 1919, and
on said day was signed and approved
by the President of said Board of
Trustees, the same being passed by
the affirmative vote of the following
named members of said Board of Trus-
tees, to -wit:
Ayes —J. P. Greeley, J. J. Schnitker,
Geo. P. Wilson, J. C. McCain, L. S.
Wilkinson.
Noes —None.
Absent —None.
The above and foregoing Ordinance
No. 152 is approved by me this 2nd
day of June, 1919.
