ORDINANCE N0. 256 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />NEWPORT BEACH, BY THE <br />BOARD OF TRUSTEES THEREOF, <br />DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO <br />ORDER AN IMPROVEMENT TO <br />BE MADE IN SAID CITY, BRIEF. <br />LY DESCRIBING THE IMPROVE. <br />:BENT, THE LAND NECESSARY <br />+ TO BE TAKEN THEREFOR, AND <br />DESCRIBING A DISTRICT TO BE <br />BENEFITED BY THE IMPROVE. <br />MENT AND TO BE ASSESSED TO <br />PAY THE EXPENSES THEREOF, <br />TO BE KNOWN AS THE ASSESS- <br />I DISTRICT, APPROVING <br />AND REFERRING TO A PLAT ON <br />FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF <br />NEWPORT BEACH, WHICH INLI- <br />CATES BY A BOUNDARY LINE ON <br />SAID PLAT, COLORDED RED, <br />THE EXTENT OF THE TERRI- <br />TORY TO BE INCLUDED IN SAID <br />ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, AND <br />WHICH SHALL GOVERN FOR ALL 1 <br />DETAILS AS TO THE EXTENT OF <br />THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, DI -` <br />RECTLNG THE POSTING, PUBLI- <br />CATION, AND MAILING OF NO- <br />TICES AND DESIGNATING A <br />NEWSPAPER FOR THE SAID <br />PUBLIC'ATION. , <br />The Board of Trustees of the city of <br />Newport Beach do ordain as follows: <br />SECTION 1. <br />The public interest and convenience <br />requires an improvement to be made <br />In the city of Newport Beach, and <br />r- the Board of Trustees of said city <br />hereby declare its Intention to order <br />said Improvement to be made, and <br />' which is briefly described as follows: <br />a. That both of the ends of the <br />alley which extends easterly and west- <br />erly in Block 4 of East Newport, be <br />widened by curving the southerly <br />line of said alley at the ends thereof <br />southerly and the northerly line at! <br />the ends thereof northerly, the said <br />curves to commence on the respective <br />southerly and northerly lines of the <br />alley twenty feet (20 ft.) from the <br />ends of the alley and the radius of <br />the curve shall be 20 ft. <br />b. That both of the ends of the <br />alley which extends easterly and <br />westerly in Block 5 of East Newport <br />be widened by curving the southerly <br />line of said alley at the ends thereof <br />southerly, and the northerly line at <br />the ends thereof northerly the said <br />curves to commence on the respective <br />southerly and northerly lines of the. <br />alley twenty feet from the ends of the, <br />, <br />alley and the radius of the curvei <br />shall be twenty feet. <br />c. The easterly end of the alley' <br />which extends easterly and westerly <br />In Block 7 of East Newport be widen- <br />ed by curving the portherly line <br />thereof at the easterly end of the <br />alley northerly, the curve to com- <br />mence on the northerly line of the <br />alley twenty feet from the easterly <br />end thereof and the radius of the <br />curve shall be twenty -feet. <br />d. That both the ends of the alley <br />which extends easterly and westerly <br />in Block 8 of East Newport be widen- <br />; ed by curving the northerly line of <br />said alley at the ends thereof north- <br />erly, the curves to commence on t:,e <br />northerly line of the alley twenty <br />feet from the ends of the alley and the <br />radius of the curves shall be twenty <br />feet. <br />e. That both the ends of ,the alley <br />which extends easterly and westerly <br />In Block 9 of East Newport be widen- <br />ed by curving the northerly line of <br />the alley at the ends thereof north- <br />erly, the curves to commence on the' <br />northerly line of the alley twenty feet' <br />from the ends of the alley and the <br />radius of the curves shall be twenty <br />feet. <br />f. That both the ends of the alley <br />which extends easterly and westerly <br />In Block 10 of East Newport be widen- <br />ed by curving the northerly line or <br />the alley at the ends thereof north -I <br />erly, the said curves to commence <br />on the northerly line of the alley <br />twenty feet from the ends of the <br />alley and the radius of the curves <br />shall be twenty feet. <br />g. The westerly end of the alley <br />which extends easterly and westerly <br />In Block 11 of East Newport be widen- <br />ed by curving the northerly line or <br />the alley northerly at the westerly end <br />of the alley, the curves to commence <br />on the northerly line of the alley <br />twenty feet from the westerly end <br />thereof and the radius of the curve <br />shall be twenty feet. <br />The described alleys, the blocks l <br />meUtloned, and the East Newport re -' <br />ferred to are all as designated and <br />shown upon a map of said East New• <br />Port recorded in Book 3, page 37,+ <br />Miscellaneous Maps, records of Or- <br />ange County, California. <br />The said alleys and the parts there- <br />of to be widened are set forth and <br />delineated upon a plan prepared by <br />the Engineer of the city of Newport i <br />Beach, and now on file In his office, <br />which plan Is hereby adopted and ap -' <br />proved as the plan for said improve- <br />ment and reference thereto Is hereby <br />made for further particulars. <br />SECTION 2. <br />It Is necessary to take land for and <br />In the widening of.:, Ile described al- <br />leys and the land necessary to I <br />taken therefor Is described as located <br />In the city of Newport Beach, County I <br />of Orange, State of California, and as <br />follows: <br />a.
