The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 85 is hereby amended so as to read as follows: SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any per- son. firm or corporation conduct- ing any billiard or pool room to allow the same to remain open or Jo transact the business therein of permitting persons to play at any',pgcl or' billiard table fiber, between the hour of I o'clock A. M. And the hour of 6 o'clock A. M. of the same. day.' SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty days after its.passagwand in.tbe meantime, it `shall be printed and published onve to the Newport News, a weekly newspaper printed, pub - lisiieH and circulated in the City of Newport Beach. The above and foregoing Ordin -', ance No. 299 was passed at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach held on the 17th day of May, 1926 by the fallowing vote: Ayes, Trustees — WILKINSON, MODJESIiA, YOUNG, WILLIAM - SON, RICHTER. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do ordain, as follows: SECTION 1. The annual license for all auto - mobile busses operated in the City; ( of Newport Beach for the carryin -' iof passengers, freight or express) matter for hire, is hereby fixed as follows: For the first bus be -! longing to or operated by any per-' son, firm or corporation, $25.00,i and for each additional bus operat -I ed by the same ,person, firm, or corporation, $10.00. SECTION 2. Every person, firm, or corpora-:' tion who shall operate or attempt: to operate any bus in the city of Newport Beach upon which a It -' tense is imposed by Section 1 of. this Ordinance without having duly paid the license therefor shall be!. deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction in a court or competent jurisdiction sltall be punished by a fine of not less than $100.00 nor greater than $200.00, or by imprisonment in the city jail l not exceeding 30 days, or by both) such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court. The above and foregoing Ordin- ance shall be published once in NEWPORT NEWS, a newspaper of general circulation printed, pub- lished, and circulated in the City of Newport Beach, and the said ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The above and foregoing ordin- ance was passed at a regular meet- ing of the Board of Trustees of the City of Nev:port Beach held the 2nd day of August, 1926, by the vote of the following named members thereof: AYES: — Trustees, Wilkinson, Modjeski, Young, Williamson, Richter. NOES: — Trustees, None. ABSENT: — Trustees, None. The above and foregoing Ordin- ance is hereby approved by me this 2nd day of August, 1926. CONRAD RICHTER, President, Board of Trustees. as follows:— SECTION 1. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 268 hereby amended so as to read follows: I is as SECTION 4. " At the time of taking out a' building permit by any person for the erection of any building in thel city of Newport Beach if the said' building when erected shall be � located within 200 feet of a main sewer line, an application to travel said building connected with the ,public sewer shall be flied w_th the Superintendent of the water sys- tem of the city of Newport Beach. and no building permit under such conditions shall be issued until said application is signed and filed. The application shall set forth the name of the applicant and al description of the property upon' which the sewer connection is to be made, and the approximate dis- tance of the building when erected from the nearest point on a main sewer line of the public sewer. The applicant shall also deposit, the sum W $5.00 for making the) connection still inspecting the same: when made, together with an ad -1 ditional $1.00 for each foot of sewer Pipe to be laid from the main sewer line to a point on the prop- erty to be connected, the point to' be designated by the owae", pro- vided, however, that the minimum fce for making arty connection shall be $15.00. The above and foregoing Ordin- ance No. 302 shall be published once in NEWPORT NLIVS a news- paper of general circulation ,print- ed, Published, and cl cnlated in the city of Newport Beach, and sltall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. I hereby certify the foregoing Ordinance No. 302 was passed by the board of trustees of the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held the 5th day of July. 1926, by the following vote: AYES — Trustees. L. S. Wilkin- son, Felix B. Modjeska, Harry H. Williamson, Conrad Richter. NOES— Trustees, None. ABSENT — Trustees: Fred W. Young.
