The City of Newport Beach, by
and through its City Council, do
ordain as follows, to -wit:
SECTION 1.
1 The City of Newport Beach does
hereby dedicate to the public for
public street purposes the follow-
described real property, sit-
uate in the City of Newport
Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, and more particularly
described as follows, to-wit-
All that portion of Frst
'Street as laid out and shown
upon a map of East Newport
'as Recorded in Book 3, page
37 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange Coaaty,
California, vacated by Ordin-
ance No. 354, adopted on the
5th day of November, I= W
the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, described as
follows, to -wit:
The westerly 40 feet of
First Street as laid out and
shown upon said Map of East
Newport extending from the
southerly line of Bay Avenue,
as said Bay Avenue is Maid
out and shown upon said map
of East Newport, to the wast-
erly prolongation of the south-
erly line of Lot 11 in Block 1,
as shown upon said map of
East Newport.
SECTION '2.
It is hereby declared that the
name of the street dedicated by
the _City ,of Newport Beach to the
public for street purposes and
heretofore described shall be
known and hereinafter designated
as First Street.
SECMn* 3.
The above and foregoing Ordin
ance shall be printed and publish-
ed once in NEWPORT NEWS, a
newspaper of general circulation.

shall take effect and I in force
thirty days after its passage.
I hereby certify that the fore -
going Ordinance was introduced at
a regular meeting of the City
,Council of the City of Newport
Beach, held on the 13th day of
July, 1931, and was duly passed
and adopted at a regular meeting
of said City Council held on the
20th day of July, 1931, by the fol-
lowing vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hilmer,
Claire, Ellsworth, Garfield and
Johnson.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
