ORDINANCE NO. 460
The Ci'y of Newport Beach, by
and through its City Council, does
ordain as follows:
Section 1. There is hereby added
to Ordinance No. 393 of the City
of Newport Beach a new section
to be known as Section 93%, and
to read as follows, to -wit:
"The rate of license for operat-
ing or conducting the business of
renting bicycles to the general
public in the City of Newport
Beach shall be $50.00 per annum.
Under the terms hereof a bicy-
cle is defined as any two or three
wheeled vehicle which is operated
by man power and the term "Bi-
cycle" does not include motor driv-
en vehicles of any description ".
Section 2. This ordinance shall
be printed and published once in
Newport News, a newspaper
printed, published and circulated
in the City of Newport Beach,
and shall take effect and be in
force thirty 30) days after its
passage.
The above and foregoing Ordi-
nance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach held
on the 7th day of June, 1937 and
was finally passed and adopted
.on the 14th day of June, 1937, by
said City Council at an adjourned
regular meeting thereof, by the
following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Gordon,
Claire Whitson, Williamson.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Gar-
field.
The foregoing Ordinance is
signed and approved by me this
14th day of June, 1937.
