ORDINANCE NO. 492 _
The City of Newport Beach, by
and through its City CoUnc11�
does ordain as follows:
Section 1. It is hereby declared
unlawful to ride, operate or drive
bicycles or motorcycles in or upon
any public pier in the City of
Newport Beach.
Section 2. Any person violating
any of the provisions of this ordi-
nance shall, be deemed guilty of
a misdemeanor and upon' convic-
tion thereof shall be punished by
a fine not exceeding ;25.00 or by
imprisonment in:the City or Coun-
ty Jail for a period not exceed-
ing five (5) days, of by both such
fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall
be published once in NEWPORT
BALBOA NEWS - TIMES, a semi_
weekly newspaper of the City of
Newport Beach, and shall take
effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after its passage.
The above and foregoing ordi-
nance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach held on
the 1st day of April, 1940, and
was finally pawed and, adopted
on the 15th day of April, 1940, by
the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at an adjourned
regular meeting thereof, by the
following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Gor-
don, Claire, Whitson, Brown,'Wil-
liamson.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.

None.
