The City of Newport Beach, by.
'and through its City Council, does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That a certain
document designated U n i f o r m
Building Code, 1946 Edition, three
copies of which are on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the
City of Newport Beach, being
marked and designated as "Uni-
form Building Code, 1946 Edition ",
be, and the same is, hereby adopt-
ed as the Building Code of the
City of Newport Beach for regu-
lating the erection, construction,
enlargement, alteration, repair,
-moving, removal, demolition, con-
version, occupancy, equipment, use,
'height, area, and maintenance of
all buildings and/or structures in
the City of Newport Beach; pro-
viding for issuance of permits and
collections of fees therefor; pro -
viding penalties for violation of
such code; declaring and establish-
ing fire zones; and each and all
,of the regulations, provisions,
penalties, conditions and terms of
such Building Code on file in the
office of the City Clerk, are hereby
referred to, adopted, and made a
part hereof as if fully set out in
,this Ordinance.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or
portions of ordinances in conflict
'herewith are hereby specifically
repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance
shall be printed and published
once in the NEWPORT BALBOA
'News - Times, a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation printed, published
.and circulated in the City of New-
port Beach, and shall take effect
and be in full force thirty days
from and after its final adoption.
The above and foregoing Or-
dinance was introduced at a regu-
lar meeting of the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, held
on the 26th day of January, 1948,
and was finally passed and adopted
on the 9th day of February, 1948,
by said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof, by the following
vote, to-wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: All a n,
Siler, Isbell, Robertson, Reed,
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None.
The foregoing Ordinance is sign,
ed and approved by me this 26th
day of January, 1948,
