ORDINANCE NO. 619
ORDINANCE ADDING SEC,
TION 6146 TO THE SIUNICI-
PAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH PROVID-
ING FOR THE RATE OF LI-
CENSE, ON A GENERAL
BUSINESS LICENSE.
The City Council of the City
of Newport Beach does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1: Section 6146 is
hereby added to the Municipal
Code of the City of Newport
Beach as follows, to wit:
"Section 6146. The rate of li-
cense for carrying on every bus -
incss, trade, calling, occupation,
art or Profession not otherwise
specifically established by t h i s
Code, or for a "general business
license," shall be Twenty Five
Dollars ($25.00) per annum, and
where in this Code any business,
trade, calling, ocupation, art or
profession can be or is construed
to be licensed under two sections
hereof and in such sections a dif-
ferent rate of license is imposed,
then the higher rate of license
shall be deemed to be the license
fixd for such business, trade, oc-
Yupation, calling, art or profes-
siond"
SECTION 2: T h is ordinance
.shall be published at least once
in the Newport Balboa Press, a
newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in the City
.of Newport Beach and shall be
in force and effect 30 days after
the final passage thereof.
The above and foregoing ordi-
nance was introduced at a reg-
ular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach
held on the ].0th day of April,
1950, and was finally passed and
adopted on the 24th day of April,
1950, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN Finch.
Drake, Greeley, Blue, Isbell
NOES, COUNCILMEN Non,
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN None
