ORDINANCE NO. 651
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF NEWPOET BEACH
CHANGING. THE NAME OF
CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE
tSTATE HIGHWAY TO COAST
HIGHWAY
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does ordain as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1: The name of all
that portion of the State Highway
lying between the Northeasterly
prolongation of Summit Street, as
shown upon a map of Seashore
Colony, as recorded in Miscellan-
eous Maps, Book 7, Page 25, Re-
cords of Orange County, California
and State Highway Engingers'.
,Station 683 - 40.95, is hereby
changed from State Highway to
"Coast Highway" and the name by
which said portion shall be known
is hereby declared to be "Coast
Highway ".
SECTION 2: The name of 'all
that portion of the State Highway
lying between the Southwesterly
prolongation of the Easterly line
of County Highway, 60 feet in
width, as described in the petition
for public highway, Newport Road,
'as recorded in Book 250, Page 73,
Records of Orange County Califor-
nia and the Northeasterly prolon-
gation of the U. S. Harbor Bulk-
head Line between U. S. Bulkhead
Station 130 and U. S. Bulkhead
Station 131 is hereby changed
from State Highway to "Coast
Highway" and the name by which
said portion shall be known is
hereby declaijad to be "Coast
Highway".
SECTION 3: This ordinance
shall be published at least once in
the Newport Harbor Ensign, a
newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in the City
of Newport Beach, and shall be in
force and effect 30 days after its
final passage.
The above and foregoing Ordi-
nance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the
-City of Newport Beach held on the
24th day of September, 1951 and
was finally passed and adopted on
the 8th day of October, 1951, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Finch,
Ramsey, Greeley, Isbell.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.,
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Blue.
