AN ORDINANCE AMENDINd
SECTIONS 7211 AND 7216 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE ES-
TABLISHING WATER RATES
AND TURN-ON CHARGES.
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does ordain as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1: Section 7211 of the
Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Meter Rate& For the period
commencing February 15, 1952,
where water is furnished through
g meter for domestic use and all
business purposes other than agri-
cultural, the monthly rate for wa=
ter consumed sha11 be as follows:.
For %-inch meters, first
700 feet or less ............$1.80
For % -inch meters, first
700 feet or less ............$1.86
For 1 -inch meters, first
. 1,000 feet or less ..........$2.16
For 11 /z -inch meters,
first 1300 feet or less.-$2.52
For 2 -inch meters, first
1,600 feet or less ..........$2.88
For 3 -inch meters, first
1,800 feet or less ..........$3.12
For each additional 100
cu. feet .... ........................$0.12"
SECTION 2: Section 7216 of
the Municipal Code of the City of
Newport Beach is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 7216. Tum -on Charges.
When water service to any prem-
ise has been turned off because of
non - payment of bill or violation of
any of the provisions of this Chap-
ter, or ordered turned off by thie
owner or tehant, a charge of Two
Dollars and fifty cents ($2.50)
shall be made and collected fdl•
each service on the premises be-
fore water service will be re-
stored."
SECTIONS: This ordinanc@
shall be published at least once in
the Newport Harbor Ensign, a
newspaper of general. circulation,
printed and published in the City
of Newport Beach and shall take
effect 30 days after its final pas-
sage.
The foregoing ordinance was in-
troduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of
Newport Bekch held on the 25th
day of February, 1952, and was
finally passed and adopted on the
10th day of March, 1952, by the
follpwing;yote, to -wit:
