AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 3250.1 OF THE MU-
NICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH PRO-
VIDING FOR THE DESIGNA-
TION OF ONE -WAY STREETS
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does ordain as fol-
laws:
SECTION 1: There is hereby
added to Section 3250.1 of the Mu-
nicipal Code of the City of New-
port Beach, under the Section
thereof denoted "Balboa Island",
the following:
'North Speedway between
Amethyst Avenue and Marine
Avenue West bound traffic
ordy."
SECTION 2: It is hereby dew
clared that this is an ordinance for
the protection of public health
and safety and its "urgency arises
from the following facts: The
large volume of automobile and
truck traffic within the City Lim-
its of Newport Beach, and parti-
cularly on Balboa Island, espe,'
pally over week -ends, together
with the necessity for the orderly
and proper handling thereof, plus
the large number of pedestrians
crossing the city streets, requires
the immediate passage and taking
effect of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance
shall be published at least once in'
the Newport Harbor Ensign, a
newspaper of general circulation
Printed and published in the City
Of Newport Beach, and shall be-
come effective forthwith upon its
final passage.
The above and foregoing ordi-
nance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach held on the
28th day of July, 19,32, and finally
passed and adopted on the 11th
day of August, 1952, by the follow-
ing vote, to wit:
AYES, Councilmen: Miller,
Horvath, Isbell, Smith
NOES, Councilmen: None
ABSENT Councilmen: Finch
