ORDINANCE NO. 089
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH FIX-
ING THE AMOUNT OF REV-
ENUE FROM PROPERTY
TAXED FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1953 -54.
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does hereby or-
dain as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council
of the City of, Newport Beach,
pursuant to Section 51508 of the
Government Code, hereby deter-
mines that the amount of revenue
from property takes necessary to
support its Departments for the
Fiscal Year 1953 -54, and to pay
the bonded and other indebtedness
of the City'of Newport Beach and
its portions or districts so bonded
or otherwise indebted, is the sum
of $508,159.08.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance
shall be published once in the
Newport Balboa Press, a news-
paper of general circulation,
printed and published in, the City
of Newport Beach, and, inasmuch
as it provides for a tax levy for
the usual current expenses of the
City, shall, under the provisions
of Section I of Article IV of the
Constiution, take effect immedi-
ately upon its final passage.
The foregoing Ordinance was
introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach, held on the
27th day of July, 1953, and was
'finally passed and adopted on the
10th day of August. 1953 by the
following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Smith,
F1nch, Isbell, Bennett, Miller.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
