ORDINANCE NO. 876
AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING SECTION 3268.5 TO
THE NEWPORT BEACH MU.
NICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO MARKED PARKING
SPACES.
The City Council, of the City
of Newport Beach does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1: Section 3268.5 is
added to the Newport Beach Mu-
nicipal Code to read:
"SECTION 3268.5. P a v e -
ment markings Designating
Parking Spaces. (a) The City
Council may by resolution
direct that lines or marks be
placed on the curbs or on
the pavement on streets or
highways or portions of
streets or highways in the
City to designate marked
parking spaces.
(b) No person shall park
a vehicle on a street or high-
way where marked parking
spaces are designated by
lines or marks other than in
a marked parking space.
(c) No person shall park
any vehicle across any line
or mark designating a park.

SECTION 2: This Ordinance
shall be published once in the
Newport Harbor Ensign, a news.
paper of general circulation,
printed and published in the City
of Newport Beach, and the same
shall be effective 30 days after
the date of its adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced
at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Newport
Beach held. on the 24th day of
February, 1959, and was, adopted
on the 9th day of March, 1959,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: HART,
LORENZ, SOMERS, KINGSLEY,
ATKINSON, HIGBIE, STODDARD.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: NONE.
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: NONE.
