ORDINANCE NO 878
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING
FOR THE REGULAR COLLEC-
TION, HAULING AWAY AND
DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE,
TRASH, REFUSE AND GAR-
DEN CUTTINGS AND FOR
THE DEFRAYING OF THE
COSTS AND EXPENSE OF
SUCH COLLECTIONS FROM
THE AD VALOREM TAX
REVENUES OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DO OR.
DAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The cost and ex-
pense of collecting, hauling
away and disposal of garbage,
refuse and cuttings, as those
terms are defined by Sections
5201, 5203 and 5203.1 of the New.
port Beach Municipal Code, shall
be defrayed exclusively from the
ad valorem tax revenues of the
City of Newport Beach.
SECTION 2. That Section 5212.1
of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code, added to said Code by Or-
dinance No. 687, adopted June 8,
1953, be and the same is hereby
repealed.

ed by a majority vote of the
electorate of the City of Newport
Beach on June 2, 1959, effective
June 19, 1959.)
