HomeMy WebLinkAbout176 - Keeping of Livestock or Poultryf ,�-3 f s90 r' 1 ORDINANCE NO. 176 An Ordinance of the City of Newport Beach prohibiting the having or keeping of certain live stock or poul- try in the City of Newport Beach within a certain distadce of any dwelling house or other structure used for human habitation and pre- scribing a penalty for all violation thereof The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do ordain as fol- lows: Section 1. It is hereby prohibited and declared to be a misdemeanor for any person either as owner, bailee or ,lessee of another to have or keep any cow, bull, calf, goat, kid, horse, mule, Colt, pig or phoat or any poultry in the 'City of Newport Beach withiq twenty - five (25) feet of any dwelling �thouse or any other building used principally for human habitation. ., Section 2. Any person who shall do ! any of the things prohibited by this, Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine n6t exceeding twenty -five ($25.00) Dollars or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding ten (10) days or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be '.published onto' in the Newport News, a 'newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Newport Beach, and shall take effect and be in iorc, from and after its passage. The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 176 war introduced at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, held on the 7th day -c; February, 1921, and passed at a ,regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of March, 1921, t Ayes, Trustees J. ORDINANCE NO. 177 I An Ordinance of the City of Newport` j Beach authorizing the common y council thereof to petition the Legis- lature of the State of California to enact a change in the boundaries of said City. of said City. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do ordain as fol- lows: Section 1. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach as the common council thereof or a majority of them are hereby authorized to pe- tition the Legislature of the State of California to change the boundaries of said City. Section 2. This Ordinance shall be 1published once in the Newport News, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Newport Beach and shall i take effect and be in force from and after its passage. I The above and foregoing Ordina>ce No. 177 was introduced at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City iof Newport Beach, held on the 7th day of February, 1921, and passed at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th 'clay of 'larch, 1921.
