HomeMy WebLinkAbout177 - Change in City Boundaries�rS 1 ORDINANCE NO. 176 An Ordinance of the City of Newport Beach prohibiting the having or keeping of certain live stock or poul- try in the City of Newport Beach within a certain dista>tce of any dwelling house or other structure used for human habitation and pre- scribing a penalty for all violation thereof. The Board of Trustees of the City of -Newport Beach do ordain as fol- lows: Section 1. It is hereby prohibited and declared to be a misdemeanor for any person either as owner, bailee or lessee of another to have or keep any cow, bull, calf, goat, kid, horse, mule, colt, pig or shoat or any poultry in the ORDINANCE NO. 177 An Ordinance of the City of Newport Beach authorizing the common council thereof to petition the Legis- lature of the State of California to enact a change in the boundaries of said City. of said City. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do ordain as fol- 'ION'S: Section 1. Section 2. This Ordinance shall be tpublished once in the Newport News, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated ill `the City of Newport Beach and shall I take effect and be in force from and after its passage. l The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 177 was,introthuced at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City Hof -Newport Beach, held on the 7th day of February, 1921, and passed at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th *day of March, 1921. Ayes, Trustees J. P. Greeley, J. J ,Schnitker, Geo. P. Wilson, Conrad 'Richter, L. S. Wilkinson. Noes, Trustees, none. Absent, Trustees, none. Any person who shall do any of the.lhings prohibited by this - Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding twenty -five ($25.00) Dollars :•� or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding ten (10) days or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be 'published oneee in the Newport News, a 'newspaper of general circulation, printed. published and circulated in the City of Newport Beach, and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 176 was introduced at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, held on the 7th day Ot February, 1921, and passed at a regular meeting thereof held on the .'th day of 3larch, 1921.
