HomeMy WebLinkAbout1245 - Parking Meter Use ExceptionsTHS.mec 3/7/68 ORDINANCE NO. 1245 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SECTION 12.44.120 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PARKING METER USE EXCEPTIONS The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain as follows. SECTION 1. Section 12.44.120 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is amended to read. 7112.44.120 Meter Use Exceptions. A. EXEMPTED TIME PERIODS. Ave is a may be parked and remain parked in a parking space in any parking meter zone open to parking without the deposit of any coin in the parking meter ad- jacent thereto during time other than that designated by resolution of the City Council as time during which deposits are required. B. PARKING METER PERMIT. In off - street parking meter zones established by resolution pursuant to Section 12.44.030, a vehicle may be parked and remain parked in a parking space without the deposit of coin in the parking meter adjacent thereto if such vehicle has displayed a current valid parking meter permit issued by the City pursuant to the authorization of the City Council estab- lished by resolution. With the exception of transfer- able permits, such parking permits shall be effective only when affixed to the front windshield of the vehicle within a 7 -inch square in the lower corner farthest removed from the drivers position.1B SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effec- tive 30 days after the date of its adoption. This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 11th day of March 9 1968, and was adopted on the 25th day of March , 19689 by the following vote, to wit.
