ORDINANCE NO. 1259
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADDING
CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE FOURTH DISTRICT OF THE
CITY AND REVISING THE DESCRIPTION OF THE BOUNDARY
LINES OF COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT NUMBER FOUR
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Newport Beach pro-
vides that when any territory is annexed to the City, the City
Council shall by ordinance add the territory to an adjacent dis-
trict or districts; and
WHEREAS, certain territory referred to as "Moden Annex-
ation No. 59" has been annexed and is adjacent to and should be
included in the Fourth District; and
WHEREAS, the description of the boundary line of the
Fourth District as set out in Ordinance No. 1231 should be revised
to make it more certain;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach does ordain as follows-,
• SECTION 1. The boundaries of the Fourth District are
hereby changed and redefined and the territory referred to as
"Moden Annexation No. 59" is hereby added to the Fourth District so
that said Fourth District, as set out in Ordinance No. 1231, is
hereby revised to read as follows, and said district shall include
all that portion of the City included within the following described
boundary line, to wit:
Beginning at the intersection of Westcliff Drive and
Irvine Avenue; thence Southeasterly along Westcliff to
Pescador Drive; thence Northeasterly along Pescador Drive
to Nottingham Road; thence Easterly along Nottingham Road
to Santiago Drive; thence Northerly along Santiago Drive
to Mariners Drive; thence Easterly along Mariners Drive
and its Easterly prolongation to Upper Newport Bay; thence
Northerly along Upper Newport Bay to an angle point in the
City boundary line, said angle point being the most East-
erly angle point on the Southeasterly prolongation of Mesa
Drive; thence Westerly along said City boundary line to
Tustin Avenue; thence Southwesterly along Tustin Avenue to
22nd Street; thence through the following bearings and
• distances: North.500 00° 00" West 30.00 feet; thence South
390 59° 40" West 690.42 feet along the center line of
Tustin Avenue; thence South 50° 00° 00" East 30.00 feet;
thence South 390 59° 40" West 330.21 feet along the easter-
ly right -of -way line of Tustin Avenue; thence North 500
009 00" West 60.00 feet; thence South 390 59' 40°t West

300.21 feet along the westerly right -of -way line of Tustin
Avenue; thence South 40° 00' 00" West 290.15 feet along
the westerly right -of -way line of Tustin Avenue; thence
South 50° 00' 00" East 226.95 feet; thence South 402 00' 00"
West 70.00 feet•- thence South 502 00' 00" East 463.36 feet;
thence South 40a 00' 00" West 165.08 feet; thence South
50 °00' 00" East 173.53 feet° thence South 40° 00' 00" West
76.73 feet; thence North 50a 00' 00" West 23.50 feet; thence
South 40° 00' 00" West 88.50 feet- thence South 50° 00' 00"
East 350.28 feet; thence South 40a 00' 00" West 120.15 feet;
thence South 500 00' 00" East 190.00 feet to Irvine Avenue;
thence Southwesterly along Irvine Avenue to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 24th
day of June ®, 1968, and was adopted on the 8th day of
July, 1968, by the following vote, to wit.
