AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 5.04.210 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL.CODE RELATING TO DELINQUENT
PENALTIES FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1971
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 5.04.210 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"5.04.210 Penalties for Delinquency. For failure
to pay a license tax when due, the Finance Director shall
add a penalty of 25% of said license tax on the last day
of each month after the due date thereof, providing that
the amount of such penalty to be added shall in no event
exceed 100% of the' amount of the license tax due.
The due date for taxes on license
renewals for the calendar year 1971 shall be January 1,
1971. However, no penalties shall be assessed for
delinquent licenses if the license taxes are paid prior
to March 1, 1971. Penalties for delinquent taxes on
license renewals for the calendar year 1971 shall commence
on March 1, 1971."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
