AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 12.24.070 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH A SPEED
LIMIT ON BIRCH STREET FROM BRISTOL STREET
TO JAMBOREE BOULEVARD
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 12.24.070 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
1112.24.070 Prima Facie Speed Limit -- Forty Miles
Per Hour. The prima facie speed limit on the following
named streets or parts thereof shall be forty miles per
hour:
Palisades Road from Jamboree Road to MacArthur Boulevard.
Dover Drive from West Coast Highway to Westcliff Drive.
Eastbluff Drive from Bixia Street northerly to Jamboree
Road.
San Joaquin Hills Road between Marguerite Avenue and
MacArthur Boulevard.
Ford Road between MacArthur Boulevard and new MacArthur
Boulevard.
New MacArthur Boulevard between Ford Road and San Joaquin
Hills Road.
Birch Street from Bristol Street to Jamboree Boulevard."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective
thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 12th
day of April , 1976, and was adopted on the 26th
