AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING SECTIONS 20.10.040 AND 20.51.032 TO
THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING
TO THE UNDERGROUND STORAGE OF FLAMMABLE
LIQUIDS
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach
DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 20.10.040 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is added to read as follows:
"20.10.040 Underground Storage of Flammable Liquids.
The underground storage of flammable liquids shall
be prohibited in any residential district in the City."
SECTION 2. Section 20.51.032 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is added to read as follows:
"20.51.032 Underground Storage of Flammable Liquids.
The underground storage of flammable liquids shall be
prohibited in any residential area of a P -C District
in the City."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its completion.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
7th day of January 1980, and was adopted on the
21st day of January 1980, by the following vote,
to -wit:
