RESOLUTION NO. 1
A RESOLUTION of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Newport Beach, declaring it to be the intention of the said Board
to close, in part, certain portions of Buena Vista Boulevard in
said City; describing said work or improvements, and specifitying
the exterior boundaries of the district of land affected thereby.
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES of the City of Newport Beach does
1hereby resolve and declares
RESOLVED - First: That the public interest and convenience
of the City of Newport Beach require, and that it is the intention
of the Board of Trustees of said City to order the following named
public improvement or work to be done, to wit:
To close, abandon and vacate, for street purposes, certain
portions of Buena Vista Boulevard in said City, and that the closure
abandonment and vacation of said portions of said boulevard is the
work or improvement to be done under t:,is resolution of intention.
That said portions of said boulevard are described as follows, to
wit:
Commencing at the South - easterly corner of Montero
Avenue and Buena Vista Boulevard; running thence Easterly
along the Southerly line of Buena Vista Boulevard 99.9
feet; thence Northerly along the prolongation of the East-
erly boundary of Lot 1 of the Subdivision of Block A of East
Newport 18 feet to a point; thence South - westerly in a
straight line to the point of beginning.
RESOLVED - Second: That the exterior boundaries of the
Ithe district of land to be affected by said work or improvement
Tare hereby specified and described as follows, to wit:
Commencing at the South - easterly corner of Buena
Vista Boulevard and Montero Avenue; running thence
Easterly along the southerly line of Buena Vista
Boulevard to the Northeasterly corner of Lot 1 of the
subdivision of Block A of East Newport; thence South
along the easterly boundary of said Lot 1 to the South-
easterly corner thereof; thence Westerly along the
Southerly boundary of Lots 1, 2 and 3 of said Block A,
to the easterly line of Montero Avenue; thence Northerly
along said Easterly line, to the point of beginning.

Resolved -- Third: That the Superintendent of Streets

of said City shall cause to be posted, conspicuously, along the

line of said proposed work or improvement, at not more than
4
three hundred feet In distance apart, but not less than three
5
In all, notices of the passage of this reBolutlon; which said
6
notices shall be headed: "NOTICE OF PUBLIC NIORK," In letters
7
not less than one Inch In length, In legible characters; stating
8
the passage of this resolution, Its date and approval, the
9
work or improvement therein proposed to be done, together with
10
a reference to this resolution for further particulars.

RESOLVED -- Fourth: jhat, whreas, there is no daily,
12
semi - weekly or weekly newspaper printed and circulated at or
13
within the City of Newport Beach, the Superintendent of Streets
14
of aald City shall cause notices, similar In substance to the
15
"Notice of Public Work" herein provided to be posted along the
16
line of said proposed work or Improvement, to be printed and
17
posted In three of the most public _olaces in the City of Newport
18
Beach, and that he shil keep said notices posted thereat for
19
th6 period of four successive weeks.

THE' ABOVE AND FOREGOING Resolution of Intention,
21
being Resolution No. 1 of the City of Newport Beach, was passed
22
23 and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees
of said City held on the 19 day of August, 1907, by the following
24
named vote, to wit:
