RESOLUTION 110. 8
Newport Beach, California, December 2nd, 1907,
Council Chamber of the City of Newport Beach, State
of California.
Whereas:- J. A. Bell on behalf of the Los Angeles
Inter -Urban Railway Company has petitioned the Board of
Trustees of the City of Newport Beach for permission to install
a platform or pavement of crushed rock and asphalt on Bay Avenue
in said City at the Southern extremety of the spur recently
constructed by said Company on Bay Avenue and to extend the
same accross the sidewalk on Ocean Avenue in said City and
approximately to high tide line on the South side of said walk
and further to erect a roof or shelter on said platform for
the purpose of protecting fish and other perishable commodities
while awaiting Transportation: - Now therefore, be it resolved
that said permission be granted only on the following conditions:
That the same be constructed to the satisfaction of the Super-
intendent of Streets of said City and that the right to remove
the same or to cause the said Los Angeles Inter -Urban Railway
Company to remove the same or any part thereof at any time, with
or without notice to said Los Angeles Inter -Urban Railway Company
and with or without cause, is hereby reserved and retained in
the Board of Trustees of the City of Newper t Beach.
