COPY RESOLUTION NO. 17 COPY
A RESOLUTION of the Board of Trustees, of the City
of Newport Beach, ordering that the work of aban-
doning and closing up inpart, of certain Streets in
said City be done.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, do
resolve and declare as follows:
Section 1: Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City
of Newport Beach, that the public interest and convenience re-
quire, and the said Board of Trustees, hereby order the work of
abandoning, closing, and vacating, portions of 28th and 3Cth
Streets in the City of Newport Beach, as the same are shown on
the Map recorded in Book 4, at page 21, of miscellaneous maps
records of Orange County, California, to be done.
Section 2: RESOLVED: That whereas the work herein
to be done, is for closing up portions of Streets, and it appears
that no assessments are necessary therefor, no commissioners are
hereby appointed.
Section 3: RESOLVED: That those portions of 28th and
30th Streets in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on a map, of
said City, recorded in Book 4, at page 21, of miscellaneous maps,
records of Orange County, California, as hereinafter described,
be closed, vacated, and abandoned, which portions of said 28th
and 30th Streets to be abandoned and vacated, by this resolution
are described as follows to wit:
Commencing at the northwesterly corner of Lot fifteen,
(15) in Block Two Hundred Twenty Five (225) of Section A, New-
port Beach, as per map thereof recorded in Book 4, at page 21,
of miscellaneous maps records of Orange County California
running thence northwesterly on the East side of the County
Road 30.35 feet; thence east 66.45 feet; thence southwesterly
59.10 feet to the point of beginning.
Commencing on the southerly line of Lot one (1) in Block
Two Hundred Twenty Six, (226) of Section A, Newport Beach, as
per map thereof recorded in Book 4, page 21 of miscellaneous
maps, records of Orange County, at a point of intersection with
the northerly line of 28th Street, as shown on a map of Lan-
caster's Addition to Newport Beach, recorded in Book 5, page 14,
of miscellaneous maps, records of Orange County California
running thence northeasterly on the southerly line of said Lot
one (1) to the southeasterly corner thereof- thence at right
angles southeasterly to the north line of 2Ath Street, as shown
on said map of Lancaster's Addition, thence westerly to the

point of beginning.
Commencing at the point of intersection of the southerly
line of 30th Street, as shown on a map, of Section A, Newport
Beach, recorded in Book 4, page 21, Miscellaneous Maps, records
of Orange County, California, with the westerly line of Block
Three Hundred Thirty One (331) of Lancaster's Addition ^to New-
port Beach, as per map thereof recorded in Book 5, page 14
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Califom ia, running
thence northeasterly, to the northeast corner of Lot Twelve (12)
in Block Two Hundred Twenty Six (226) in said Section A.
Thence at right angles, northwesterly to the south line of Alley
in said Block 331; thence westerly along the south line of said
Alley to the north line; of 30th Street, as shown on said Map of
Lancaster's Addition; Thence southeasterly to the west line of
said Block 331; Thence southerly to the point of beginning.
The foregoing Resolution No. 17 was passed and adopted
by the Board of Trustees, of the City of Newport Beach, on the
24th day of August, 1908, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: C. A. Barton, F. W. Beckwith, J. McMillan
NOES: None
ABSENT: J. Ferguson, A. N. Smith.
The foregoing resolution is hereby approved this 23rd day
of August, 1908.
