A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, DETERMINING
THAT IT HAS BECOME NECESSARY FOR THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH TO TAKE
PRIVATE PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE WATER
FRONT AND TO MAINTAIN A PUBLIC HARBOR, AND DIRECTING PROCEEDINGS TO
BE TAKEN TO PROCURE THE SAME.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do re-
solve and determine as follows:-
Section 1. It has become necessary for the City of Newport
Beach to take private property for the purpose of improving the
water front of said city and the maintenance of a public harbor by
said city as described and set forth in Resolution No. 70 of the
City of Newport Beach.
Section 2. The private property necessary to be taken con-
Isists of the land described in Resolution No. 70 of the City of
Newport Beach.
Section 3. Resolved, that proceedings are hereby directed
to be taken by the City of Newport Beach under Section 1237 and
following sections to and including Sec. 1263 of the Code of Civil
Procedure to procure the said land, and that Clyde Bishop, as at-
torney for the City of Newport Beach, be and is hereby directed to
take, conduct and maintain all proceedings, legal or othert'irse,
inecessary to procure the said land.
The above and foregoing Resolution No. 72 qas passed by
the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach at a regular
(meeting thereof held on the 5th day of March, 1917, by the
vote, to wit:

H. A. Robinson, J. C. McCain
Noes, Trustees; None

tained in my office, the foregoing Resolution No. 72
was duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California,
at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the
regular meeting place thereof, on the 5th day of
