RESOLUTION NO. 80
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
CHANGING AND RE- ESTABLISHING THE GRADES OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF
SURF AVENUE IN SAID.CITY
SECTION ONE
WHEREAS$ Said Board did on the 9th day of April, 1917,
duly adopt a Resolution No. 75, declaring its intention to change
and reestablish the official grade of certain portions of Surf
Avenue, hereinafter deseribedi and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was published and
posted as provided by law, and notice of the passage thereof was
duly published and posted by the Street Superintendent of said
City as required by law, and no protests against said change of
grade were filed within the time therefor;
NOW THEREFORE, the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport
Beach do resolve as follows:
Ttn official grade of Surf Avenue along the northerly line
of said Surf Avenues from the easterly line of Alvarado Street to
the easterly line of B Street, is hereby changed and re- establish
to conform to the following elevations, to wit:
At the northeasterly corner of Alvarado Street, the grade
shall be 112.00;
At the northwesterly corner of Coronado Street, the grade
shall be 113.00;
At the northeasterly corner of Coronado Street, the grade
shall be 113.00;
At the northwesterly corner of the Alley between Coronado
Street and Adams Street, the grade shall be 113.00;
At the northeasterly corner of the Alley between Coronado
Street and Adams Street, the grade shall be 113.001
At the northwesterly corner of Adams Street, the grade
shall be 113.001
At the northeasterly corner of Adams Street, the grade
shall be 113.00g

At the northwesterly corner of Palm Street, the grade shall
be 113.00;
At the northeasterly corner of Palm Street, the grade shall
be 113.00;
At the northwesterly corner of Washington Street, the grade
shall be 113.00;
At the northeasterly corner of Washington Street, the grade
shall be 113.00;
Et the northwesterly corner of Main Street, the grade shall
be 113.00;
At the northeasterly corner of Main Street, the grade shall
be 113.00;
At the northwesterly corner of A Street, the grade shall
be 113.00;
At the northeasterly corner of A Street, the grade shall
be 113.00;
At the northwesterly corner of B Street, the grade shall be
113.00;
At the northeasterly corner of B Street, the grade shall
be 113.00;
SECTION TWO
The elevations herein given are for the top of the sidwalk
are in feet and are above the City Datum Plane, as heretofore ado
and established. At all points between consecutive designated
points along the northerly line of said Surf Avenue, the grade
shall conform to a true and uniform gradient between said desig-
nated points.
SECTION THREE
The said changes of grade shall be made under the provis-
ions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California known
as the "Change of Grade Act of 1909."

SECTION FOUR
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolu-
tion and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in
the Newport News a weekly newspaper, printed, published and cir-
culated within the.said City of Newport Beach, which is hereby
designated for that purpose.
Passed and approved this 4th day of June, 1917.
