RESOLUTION NO. 129
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH,ABANDONING PROCEEDINGS TAKEN UNDER RESOLUTION NO. 116,
PASSED BY THE SAID BOARD ON THE 4th. DAY OF AUGUST,1919.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Yewport Beach
did on the 4th day of August, 1919, duly adopt Resolution No. 116,
entitled, "A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Newport Beach, declaring their intention to improve certain
portions of Central Avenue and other streets, alleys and tights
of way within said City, and also certain portions of rights
of way and property owned b y said City, situated outside of
and adjacent to the corporate boundary lines of said City, forming
an assessment district of lands within the said City to be bene-
fited by and to pay the costs and expenses of said proposed im-
provements and determining that bonds shall be issued to repre-
sent the cost thereof ". c
AND THWHEREAS, the Board of Trustees have been unable to
procure the execution of a contract for the doing of the work
and the construction of the improvement contemplated by Res-
olution No. 116, and it appears to be for the best interest of
the City of Newport Beach to vacate and abandon all proceedings
had and contemplated under and by said Resolu tion No. 116:
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that all proceedings hereto-
fore taken under and in pursuance of Resolution of Intention No.
116, passed by the Board of Trustees of said City of the 4th,
day of August, 1919 and the said Resolution No. 116 be and the
same is hereby annuled, abrogated and set aside, and all pro-
ceedings thereby contemplated and which were takne in pursuance
of said Resolution No. 116 be and the same are hereby abandoned.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution, being
Resolution No. 129 was duly and regularly introduced and adopted
by the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach,at a
regular meeting of said Board held on the 7th day of June, 1920,
and that the same was passed by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, TRUSTEES: J.P. Greeley, J.J. Schmitken, A.L. Heard,
Conrad Richter. L.S. Wilkinson.
NOES, TRUSTEES: Ngne
ABSENT TRUSTEES: None.
