A RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS IN THE :,TTER OF
THE IMPP,OVE IEP?T nF CENTRAL AVEITUE AND CERTAI.d OT..'F.P
STRFFTS AND AVE?,NES AND CEP.TAI'd ALLEYS.
WHEREES, the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport
Beach did on the 11th day of April, 1922, pass its Resolution
of Intention No. 168 to order the improvement of Central
Avenue and certain othor streets and avenues, and of certain
alleys and to change the grade of certain portions of streets
and avenues under and in pursuance of the Improvement Act of
1911, the names of the streets and avenues, and of L:lleys
proposed to be improved and the location and character of
said proposed work, and the proposed changes or riodifications
of grade, being described in said Resolution of Intention
which is hereby expressly referred to for furti,er particulars;
AND MTERF,AS, certain orners of property liable to be
assessed for said work made written protest or objections in
writing and delivered the sarae to the Clerk not later than the
hour set for hearing such objections;
AND WHEREAS, at the time set for heaririL protests or ob-
jections the Board of Trustees proceeded to hear the same and
all of said protests or objections having been heard and duly
considered and said Board being required to pass upon the same,
it is hereby,
RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the City of Nev-port
Beach, that all of t;ie said protests and objections against said
proposed work or improve,zent, and against the extent of ti-..e dis-
trict to be assessed, and against the proposed change od jod modifi-
cation of grade be and the oai,;e are hereby overruled and denied.

• RESOLVED, further that said Board finds that said pro-
tests are made by the owners of less than one —half of:the
area of the property to be assessed for said improvement.
I hereby certify that the fordgQirng Resolution was duly
passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of Nerport Beach
at their regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the_,,Z/_�
day of April, 1922, and that the same was passed by the follow-
