A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING CERTAIN WORK TO
BE DONE AND IMPROVEMENT TO BE MADE ON CERTAIN
PORTIONS OF MOPADDEN PLACE AND7'2ls't ?SEREST' .
WITHIN SAID CITY.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1
That the public interest and convenience require the work
hereinafter described to be done, and said Board hereby orders
the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said
City, to -wit:
The grading and construction of concrete pavement and con-
Crete curbs, and otherwise improving portions of McFadden Place
and 21st Street in said City, all as more particularly described
in Resolution of Intention No. 289, as adopted by the Board of
Trustees of said City on the 7th day of July, 1924, and on file
in the office of the City Clerk of said City.. For further par-
ticulars reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention
No. 289, and to the plans, profiles, drawings and cross - sections
on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and
according to the specifications on file in the office of the City
Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings,
cross - sections and.specifications heretofore approved by said
Board of Trustees, and incorporated herein and made a part hereof,
. and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular de-
scription of said work.
SECTION 2.
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared
that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned
was in the opinion of said Board of Trustees of more than local

or ordinary publio benefit and the expense of said work and im-

provement has been o argeable upon a distriot. For a particular
desoriptlon of said distriot referenoe is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 3.
That sealed bids for said work shall be reoeived up to
7:30 o1olook P.M. of the 25th day of August, 19240 at which time
said bids will be pu blioly opened, examined, and deolared by this
Board.
The City.Clerk is hereby direoted to post a notioe in-
viting-sealed bids for said work with the speoifioations therefor,
oonspiouously for five days, on or near the council chamber door
of this Board, and to publish a like_notioe referring to the spe-
oifioations posted or on file, twine in the ll ewport News, a weekly
newspaper published and oiroulated in said City, and hereby des-
ignated for that purpose, there being no daily newspaper in said
City.
