A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
• CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR
CERTAIN WORK ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF McFADDEN
PLACE AND 21st STREET WITHIN SAID CITY.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve
as follows;
SECTION 1.
That this Board hereby finds and declares that 1T•/7`. /5e?7'�/"SO/f
is the lowest regular, responsible bidder for
the work hereinafter described and this Board hereby awards the
contract for said work to //the said /�y�. // � � /zrO/i ,
at the prices named in ///S bid, to -wit:
For 8" Concrete Paving Including grading,

For Concrete Curb complete, including
grading, per lineal foot s Q. ( 9
All of the bids for said work are hereby rejected and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to return to the respective bidders all
checks accompanying said rejected bids.
The work hereinbefore referred to is described as follows:
The grading and construction of concrete pavement and concrete
curbs, and otherwise improving portions of McFadden Place and
21st Street in said City, all as more particularly described in
Resolution of Intention No. 289, as adopted bj the Board of Trus-
tees of said City on the 7th day of July, 1924, and on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars
reference is hereby made to said Resofution of Intention No. 289,
• and to the plans, profiles, drawings and cross- sections on file in
• the office of the City Engineer of said City, and according to the
specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City,

and all of said plans, profiles, drawings, cross - sections and spe-
cifications heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees, and
incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby
made thereto for a more particular description of said work.
SECTION 2_
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that
the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was,
in the opinion of the said Board of Trustees, of more than local
or ordinary public benefit and the expense of sand work and im-

provement has been ^chargeable upon a district. For a particular
description of said district, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 3.
The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish said
notice twice in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper printed,
published and circulated in said City of Newport Beach, and hereby
designated for that purpose, there being no daily newspaper in said
City.
Passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach,
this ay of August, 1924.
