HomeMy WebLinkAbout332 - Coast Boulevard Improvements:; C �r is RESOLUTION NO.33_�-' • A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY NOF NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF COAST BOULEVARD WITHIN SAID CITY. - - - - - - 0 - - - - - - - v` y The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve as follows; SECTION I. That the public interest and convenience require the work. hereinafter described to be done, and therefore the said Board of Trustees hereby order the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said City, to -wit; That granite concrete ornamental lighting posts, conduits, wires and appurtenances for the successful operation of an orna- mental street lighting system be constructed upon certain portions of Coast Boulevard from the northwesterly curb line of 38th Street to a line, which line is five (5) feet northwesterly of and paral- lel with the northwesterly line of that part of 45th Street lying southwesterly of Coast Boulevard, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 331, as adopted by the Board of Trustees of said City, on the 6th day of April, 1925, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further par- ticulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention and No. 331, and to the plans, profiles, drawings, /cross- sections gn file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and according to the specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings, cross - itsections and specifications heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work. - 1 - r - SECTION II. . The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of twenty -five (25.00) dollars or more remaining unpaid for twenty (20) days after the date of warrant. For a particular description of said bonds, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention. SECTION III. The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was, in the opinion of the said Board, of more than local or or- dinary public benefit, and the expense of said rork and improve- ment has been made chargeable upon a district. For a particular description of said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention. SECTION IV. That sealed bids fo r said work shall be received up to 7:30 o'clock, P.M. of the day ofJ.� /} , 1925, at which time said bids will be publicly opened,, examined and declared by this Board. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice in- viting sealed bids for said work with the specifications therefor, conspicuously for five days, on or near the council chamber door of this Board, and to publish a like notice referring to the spe- cifications posted, or on file, twice in the Newport News, a semi- weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose, (there being no daily newspaper in said City).
