AMA A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NI;WPORT BEACH DECLARING THAT THJ4, PU$LIC.
NECESSITY AND CONVENIENCE REQUIRES THE RE-
CONSTRUCTION OF THE BRIDGE ALONG MARINE AVENUE
CONNECTING THE 11AINLAND WITH BALBOA ISLAND,
AND AUTBORIZING THEW CITY ENGINEER TO :JAKE
APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT
ENGINEER FOR A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT THE SAME.

The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
resolve as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the re-
construction of the bridge along Marine Avenue connecting Balboa
Island witn the mainland in order to provide adequate and proper
means of ingress and egress from the mainland to Balboa Island.
That said bridge shall be constructed in accordance with
the maps and plans showin6 the location, extent and character of
said improvement, heretofore approved by this Council, and on file
in the office of the City Engineer of said City.
That the City Engineer of said City is hereby authorized
to.make application to the United States District Engineer's
Office at Los Angeles for Approval of said plans, and for a
permit to construct said bridge and causeway in accordance with
the aforesaid plans.
