A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, GRANTING A WRITTEN LICENSE
TO GEORGE C..HINER, GRANTING HIM THE EXCLUSIVE
PIER RIGHTS TO HAVE AND SELL LIVE BAIT ON THAT
CERTAIN PIER OWNED BY THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
BEING THE STRUCTURE ACQUIRED FROM THE SOUTHERN
PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY, BY THE FUNDS OF MUN-
ICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS, UPON
CERTAIN CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN A WRITTEN CONTRACT
THIS DAY PRESENTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL, AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY AND THE CITY CLERK
OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT FOR SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions, the City Attorney of
the City of Newport Beach has this day prepared a contract and
presented the Same for consideration to the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, in which Said contract the City of Newport
Beach grants to George C. Hiner of .Newport Beach, a license to
have the exclusive pier rights to have and Sell live bait on that
certain pier owned by the City of Newport Beach, being the
structure acquired from the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, by
the funds of Municipal Improvement District No. 2 of the City of
Newport Beach, upon certain conditions and Specifications Set forth
in said agreement and for the time Specified in Said agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Said contract
be, and the Same is hereby approved as written, by the City Counci
of Said City of Newport Beach, and the 1°ayor of Said City and the
City Clerk of Said City shall, and they are hereby authorized
to sign the Same on behalf of Said City, and the Clerk is directed
to have the party of the Second part, George C. Hiner, execute Sai
contract within two (2) days from date hereof, and the Said con-
tract Shall thereupon be filed and become a valid contract as
between said parties.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof, held on the
16th day of July, 19282 by the following vote, to -wit:
