A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NVIPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT ENGINEER FOR A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT GROINS fN -THE ENTRANCE CHANNEL TO NEWPORT —BAY —ANH WEST OF THE WEST JETTY AND THE DREDGING OF THE ENTRANCE CHANNEL. - — — — 000 — — — The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does resolve as follows: That the City of Newport Beach plans to construct groins along the east side of the west jetty at Newport Harbor Entrance and along the west side of the west jetty and the shore nine of the Pacific Ocean west of the west jetty, and the dredging of the Entrance Channel between a point 400 feet southeasterly of U. S. Bulkhead Station No. 109 and a point 1200 feet southerly of U. S. Bulkhead Station No. 107, as said bulkhead stations are laid out and shown upon a map of Newport Bay, California, showing Harbor lines, approved by the War Department January 18, 1917, in order to provide means of ingress and egress from Newport Harbor to the Pacific Ocean, and in order to protect the shore line west of said west jetty. in accordance That said groins and dredging be constructed/with the maps and plans showing the location, extent and character of said Improvement heretofore approved by this Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City. That the City Engineer of said City is hereby authorized to make application to the U. S. District Engineer's office at Los Angeles for approval of said plans and for a permit to construct said improvements in accordance with the aforesaid plans. 41 - t j X.�1 • L,.
