3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, DIRECTING AND INSTRUCTING
4 THE BUILDING INSPECTOR OF SAID CITY TO RE-
FUSE PERHITS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ANY
5 STRUCTURE WHATSOEVER BETWEEN THE PACIFIC
OCEAN AND SURF AVENUE, AND /OR OCEAN AVENUE.

7 WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City
8 of Newport Beach that there is some question concerning the
9 ownership of properties between the Pacific Ocean and Surf Avenue
10 and between the Pacific Ocean and Ocean Avenue in said City of
11 Newport Beach; and
12 WHEREAS, it is represented that the State of
13 California has some interest in said described real property
14 and that a portion of said properties are tide lands and belong
15 to the State of California.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Building
17 Inspector of the City of Nei7port Beach, be, and he is hereby
18 instructed not to grant or issue building permits of any
19 descriptionfor buildings or structures. contemplated on lands
20 lying between Surf Avenue and the Pacific Ocean and /or Ocean
21 Avenue and the Pacific Ocean, in said city, until such time
22
as the titleto said lands ,shall have been fully determined.

24 I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
25
regularly introduced and passed by the City Counc il of the'City
26
of Newport Beach, at a regular meeting thereof held on the
27
day of May, 1929, by the following vote, to —wit:
