RESOLUTION NO. S 9, .
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, CANCELLING A CERTAIN ERRONEOUS TAX
ASSESSIE14T ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY STANDING IN THE
NAME OF ONE F. M. STROBRIDGE.
WHEREAS, for the fiscal years 1927 -1928, and 1928—
1929, certain tax assessments were levied against the real proper
ty of one F. M. Strobridge, which said real property is known as
Parcel No. 8, containing 2.26 acres in Lot 1, Section 28, Town-
ship 6 South, Range 10 West (Island West of Central Avenue Bridge
and S. P. Ry.); and
WHEREAS, said F. M. Strobridge has not paid said
taxes nor has anyone else paid the same on said described real
property; and
WHEREAS, said real property above mentioned lies
without the corporate limits of the Oity of Newport Beach, and
Is therefore not taxable by the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, said real property above described has
not within the years above mentioned been within the corporate
limits of the City of Newport Beach and said tax assessment was
and is therefore erroneous and illegal; and
WHEREAS, the said F. M. 'St rob ridge ,..the' owner
of said real property, has requested the City Council of the CitS
of Newport Beach that said erroneous tax assessment be cancelled
as of record; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Newport
Beach has given his written consent to the cancellation of said
erroneous and illegal tax assessment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That that certain
tax assessment levied against the property of F. M. Strobridge o
1 210 Lasky Street, Beverly Hills, California, and known as Parcel
• 2 No. 8, containing 2.26 acres in Lot 1, Section 28, Township 6
• 3 South, Range 10 West (Island West of Central Avenue Bridge and
4 S. P. Ry.), be and the same is hereby cancelled; and
5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That -the City Tax
6 Collector of the City of Newport Beach, be and he is hereby
7 instructed to cancel that certain tax assessment heretofore
8 mentioned, and appearing in Volume 3, at page 128 of tax records
9 of said city, which said property stands in the name of F. M.
10. Strobridge, and is more particularly described as Parcel No, 8,
11 containing 2.26 acres in Lot 1, Section 28, Township 6 South,
12 Range 10 West, (island west of Central Avenue bridge and S. P.
13 Ry.) Said cancellation :to- be made in the manner required by
14 law and the Ordinances of the City of Newport Beach.

16 I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
17 was duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of
18 Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 6th day
19 of January, 1930, by the following vote, to —wit:
