HomeMy WebLinkAbout4001 - Street Lighting System - Tract 10111 • 2 3 4 5 6 7 • 0 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 4001 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 4000 The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", being Division VII of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, DOES RESOLVE as follows: That the public interest and convenience require the work hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said City, to -wit: The construction and installation of a street lighting system, consisting of cement concrete posts or standards (Marbelite Design No. 43 -D4), each equipped with one luminaire including 2500 lumen incandescent lamps, using 5000 volt Thermo- plastic Cable installed in galvanized iron Pipe conduit, and appurtenant work in connection therewith, in that certain public easement owned by the City of Newport Beach over, along and across Lots A, B and C of Tract No. 1011, as per map recorded in Miscellaneous Map Book 36, Pages 37 to 40 inclusive, Records of Orange County, California, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 4000 passed and adopted by the City Council of said City on the 9th day of July, 1951 and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city. For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 4000 and to the plans, profiles and drawings No. 435, consisting of 1 sheet, on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City of Newport Beach, and to the specifications for the said work heretofore adopted by the said City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said 1 • 2 3 • 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 • 28 • 29 30 31 32 City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings and specificati heretofore approved by the City Council of said City are incor- porated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work. Said City Council has determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said work chargeable upon a district. For the particular description of said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 4000. Said City Council has determined and declared that serial bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6 %) per annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeeding the next October 15th following their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", being Part 5, Divisic VII of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to represent each assessment of Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) or more remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recording the warrant. All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", Division VII of the Streets and Highways Code. The Clerk of said City is hereby directed to post conspicuously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the City Council, in the manner and form required by said Code, a Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein ordered, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the "Newport Harbor Ensign ", a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City and hereby designated by 1 • 2 3 • 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 . 28 • 29 30 31 32 the said City Council for that purpose, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said work and referring to the specifications on file. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of August, 1951 by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Finch, Ramsey, Blue, Greeley, Isbell NOES: Councilmen None ABSENT: Councilmen None /s/ L.
