OF SAID PETITION.
WHEREAS, William U. Seaquist, William L. Schuster,
Mary Alice Neighbor, Jiro. Lloyd Yleming, James H. Estus, J. D.
Doverepike, Jean, D. O'Nal'14y, Albert Eoffman, Jessica E. Soelea:
Floyd Wilborn, Ray R. Ainsworth, Thomas A. Aarren, Cri-19 C.
Phoenix, Paul Connors, James V. oranoisoo, Latherine Mitchallp
William S. Lefever and Orville H. Betty have published a Notice
of Intention to Circulate a Petition to the City of Newport Beach
to have the property generally bounded by 15th and 16th Streets
and Santa An& and Irvine Avenues annexed to the City of Newport
Beach; and
ViH "=117-48, there has been filed in behalf of said ner-
sons with the City Clerk of the City of Sewnort Beach a cony of
said Notice of Intention to Circulate said Petition; and
r4HEREAS, under the provisions of Section 35113 of the
Government Code, the City Council of the City of Newport Be ch
should adopt a Resolution ae►rnowledging receipt of the notice
and approving the ciroulaation of the Petition; anrt
�'R LAS, it appears to be for the best interests of
the citizens of the City of Newport Duaeh and for the inhabit-
ants of said area proposed to be annexed to proceed with the
annexation covered by said petition;

copy of the said Notioe of Intention to circulate.a Petition
for the annexation of said Inhabited territory to the City of

said -Petition by the said above named parties, be, and the same
is hereby, approved.
