RESOLITION NO.
A ABSOLUTION OF THE CITY'COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
CALL A SPECIAL ELECTION IN CERTAIN INHABITED
TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO SAID CITY PROPOSED TO
BE ANNEXED THERETO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUB -
MITTING TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS RESIDING IN
SAID TERRITORY THE QUESTION WHETHER OR NOT SAID
TERRITORY SHALL BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF NEW-
PORT BEACH. AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE WHEN
AND WHERE ANY PERSON O'a'NIiNtl REAL. PROPERTY WITHIN
SUCH TERRITORY 14AY APPEAR BEFORE SAID CITX
COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD
NOT BE 30 ANNEXED.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach:
SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach to call a special election
to be held on the 4 day of , 1953s in *art
inhabited territory contiguous to aid city, proposed to be
annexed thereto, for the purpose of subhitting to the qualified
electors residing in said territory the question whether or not
said territory shall be annexed to the City of Newport Beach and
the property in the territory subjected to taxation after annexa-
tion equally with property within the City of Newport Reach to
pay the bonded indebtedness of the City of Newport Beach out-
standing or authorized at the date of the filing of the petition
for annexation for the acquisition, construction or completion of
municipal improvements.
The specific boundaries of the territory proposed to
be annexed are as follows, to -wits
Beginning at an angle point in the boundary
line of the City of Newport Beach said angle
point being the Northwesterly corner of
Lot 5 as shown upon a map of Tract No. 1136,
Recorded in Miscellaneous Map Book 37, Pages
18 and 19 and said point also being in the
easterly line of State Highway 80 feet in
width as said State Highway is shown upon a
map of Tract No. 464 Recorded in Miscellaneous
Map Book 332, Page 1 Records of said Oran&
Countyp thence northerly along said City
boundary line and along said easterly line to
a curve concave to the east having a radius
of 96o feet, thence along said curve through
an are length of 317:95 feet; thence north

3 ballots at such election as "roddicksen Annexation."
