RESOLUTION NO. 4947
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
AND SUBMISSION TO THE ORANGE COUNTY BOUNDARY
COMMISSION OF A PROPOSAL FOR DETERMINING THE
• DEFINITENESS AND CERTAINTY OF THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE SECOND ADDITION TO JAMBOREE ROAD ANNEX
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
has heretofore considered the annexation of real property herein
referred to as the "Second Addition to Jamboree Road Annex ",
which is hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said real property is in unincorporated terri-
tory and situated in the County of Orange, State of California;
and
WHEREAS, the said real property is uninhabited and
contiguous to the City of Newport Beach within the meaning of
the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of the
owners of said real property and for the citizens of the City of
Newport Beach that said real property be annexed to the City of
Newport Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach file a proposal and map with the
Secretary of the County Boundary Commission of Orange County,
State of California, in accordance with the Annexation of Unin-
habited Territory Act of 1939; that the proposal request said
Boundary Commission to determine the definiteness and certainty
of the boundaries and other matters affecting the proposed
boundaries of the real property referred to as the "Second Ad-
dition to Jamboree Road Annex" and which is described in
• Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as though
• set out in full herein; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of
the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby, authorized to
execute said proposal on behalf of the City of Newport Beach and
that the City Clerk verify and file same in accordance herewith.

This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 23rd day of
March, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

SECOND ADDITION TO JAMBOREE ROAD ANNEX
Beginning at a point in the Boundary Line of the City of
• Newport Beach, said point also being the most northerly corner
• of Block 55, Irvine's Subdivision as shown upon a map recorded
in Miscellaneous Record Map Book 1, Page 88, Records of Orange
County, California; thence southeasterly along the northeasterly
line of said Block 55 to the southeasterly line of Jamboree Road,
100 feet in width, as described in deed, recorded in Book 4110,
Page 10, Official Records of said Orange County; thence south-
westerly along the southeasterly line of said Jamboree Road to
the northerly corner of Parcel 2, as described in deed, recorded
in Book 4110, Page 10, Official Records of said Orange County;
thence southerly along the easterly line of said Parcel 2 to an
intersection with the Boundary Line of the City of Newport Beach,
said Boundary Line also being the northerly line of the California
State Highway ORA -60 -B, 100 feet in width, as described in deed
recorded in Book 487, Page 3, Official Records of said Orange
County; thence westerly along said City Boundary Line and along
the northerly line of said State Highway to a point of inter-
section with the southeasterly prolongation of the Court Decree
Line between Stations 16 -B and 17, as described in the Court
Decree established by Superior Court Case No. 20436 of the
Superior Court in and for the County of Orange, State of Calif-
ornia; thence northwesterly along said City Boundary Line and
along said southeasterly prolongation of said Court Decree Line
to said Station 16 -B; thence northeasterly along said City Bound-
ary Line and along said Court Decree Line to Station 16 -A of said
